What does the right marketing team look like?
Reinventing your marketing team should be a thing that all companies do on a yearly basis. Keeping everyone on their toes, but more importantly encouraging everyone to stay relevant is critical to your company's success. If your marketing team doesn't have their heart in it and are not determined to be successful, then you may see that written in red in your balance sheet.

$1,000,000 - Amateur move
I'm sitting at the airport about to hop on my next plane. I dress the same way every flight for comfort; a Nike pant, Armani knit, Nike shoes and jewellery. I wear a scarf to lift the outfit just in case my luggage goes missing at the other end, and I always pack a pair of heels in my hand luggage. I am ready.

New York, what dreams are made of
From the moment I landed, my heart started to sing. I've been to New York more than 100 times, yet it still has me hooked. No matter what airport you land, you know that the drive to your hotel or wherever you are staying is going to make you come alive in a way that no other city in the world is able to do.

There is no place I would rather work
When you wake up and race to the office each day, not out of necessity but because you are can't wait to turn on your laptop and hang with your team - you know you are doing something right.
My job isn't what you think. Yes, I own a marketing company, but given that we have a true flat organisational structure, I don't manage anyone, or anything for that matter. Instead, my days are full of creativity, writing, celebrating, brainstorming and general engagement with the people that work at Marketing Eye.

Is your job about to become redundant?
We are all on a journey in life, that is quite often than not, dictated by our desire for greater experiences or money. The latter is an interesting mark as it can either defeat you, or make you, and few people find the happy medium whereby they have enough to live a good life, and to give to others at the same time, without making money their scorecard.
Experiences are to be had. Sometimes people hold themselves back from their full potential, only to find disappointment in the end result. Why are they holding themselves back, when they could simply let go a bit and find their way into the place they were always searching to go?

How to get a big payrise
With all of this talk on what some people do to reach their career goals in Hollywood, it seems that we have forgotten the 'real' world.
In the real world, to get a big pay rise, you have to work really hard, ensure that the company is profiting from your work at a rate that is commensurate with industry standards.
As you have seen, some people get paid more than other for various reason:

When your employees stay all night just to create a surprise for you
This morning, I decided to have breakfast at my favourite cafe, Hobba Prahran before heading to the office. I sat at Hobba with a big smile on my face. I have spent the past month with my teams in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Atlanta and it has been amazing.
The energy in each office, stand up meetings, pride in their work, on-boarding of clients and in general, their 'nice-ness' is beyond anything you would ever expect in an office environment.
I had a particularly stressful period of time. Hackers had attacked our business and we were leaking cash like no tomorrow. I handled it great for the first three days, then I fell apart. I felt like it was all too much. My life is full and to add that type of stress to my life, I felt overwhelmed. It was certainly challenging.
My team could see that I was stressed, and on my last day in the Melbourne office prior to heading to the US, the team wanted to celebrate my birthday. I asked them if they would mind if we didn't celebrate my birthday and celebrated just Christina's instead.

What it takes to build a small business globally
As a entrepreneur who has a belief that you should always finish something you start, I am hell-bent on Marketing Eye's global expansion, and the only thing that holds the company back is my ability to travel more often given that I have a dog at home to look after.
Baring this in mind, we expanded to the US, and have done so in a way that we can trial operating remotely and within a management style that is conducive to me getting enough sleep and being present to whatever team I am working with at the time.
