There's something about the digital age that's both exhilarating and demanding. As a female entrepreneur, I've always been inspired by the dynamic shifts in technology particularly given that I started on a typewriter and faxing and at ended up in the world of artificial intelligence. It's a privilege to see the ebb and flow of trends firsthand, and trust me, the current trend is all about what is possible. It’s scaring the b-Jesus out of almost everyone – even Elon Musk!

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t force the horse to drink it. Many forward thinking entrepreneurs have embraced AI and shared with their teams new ways in which to improve productivity and outcomes, but push-back is greater than many think.

As a marketing agency owner, I was the first to get my team to get onboard with ChatGPT in November last year. Imagine how surprised I was that in January, many had said “we haven’t gotten around to having a look at it”.

Marketing strategies mean so many things to so many different people, that there is no standard code - or is there? While I have been using the same marketing strategy format for the past 20 years, I am always alarmed when I see a sales person write up a marketing 'to do list' and proclaim that this is in fact their marketing strategy. Likewise, when an entrepreneur hires a college graduate who writes up a marketing strategy based on the format that they learnt at college, which is out-dated, lacking in relevance and most likely not something that the student has had the ability to actually learn in-depth.
