Sun, surf, flying a plane and riding motorbikes - not a bad combo this Easter!
Easter is extra special for me because not only do I love chocolate, but it is a time for enjoying family. Family is unique and can never be replicated. They love you for you, they know your strengths and your weaknesses and if they are anything like my family, they support you in everything they do.
My brother is brilliant and more of an entrepreneur than even I. He has so many business interests and is one of the most capable people I have ever met in my life. Not only will we talk business but he is also going to take me for a flight in his new plane which will be fantastic but a tad scary. Imagine your brother flying you in his plane - just the two of you. Terrifying, but I have to do it!
My sister in law is mother nature, so I can't wait to paint with her and to hang out and chill. I am looking forward to hanging out with her equally creative friends and perhaps acquiring a few paintings for my home. She always gives a good perspective on things, so chatting to her for 5 days will be great.
My nephew Jamie has just got his learners licence so I am imaging that I am going to risk my life and accompany him on a drive or two. He also is a mad skateboarder, so no doubt we will be doing that as well. My entire family rides motorbikes and have a track on their property, so I am keen to get back on the bike and show the kids that their aunt is fearless. Not sure if that is a great idea or not though! Hope my insurance covers me!
My youngest nephew Sunny, who is pure sunshine, is also a skateboarder but mostly I can't wait to hear about school and to give him a big cuddle.
More important than any holiday with my friends is spending time with my family that often get neglected because I work and travel so much. To spend 5 days on a property, enjoying the fresh air and expansive skies, is just what the doctor ordered. A bonfire on Friday night is one of the many highlights. Then I am back to the rat race. Off to Perth for two days, then Sydney, then Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta.
I wish everyone a wonderful Easter break. I hope that everyone stays safe and takes time out to appreciate just how lucky we all are. Eat loads of chocolate and make sure you laugh as much as possible.
Happy Easter!
