The exhilarating limitless vibe that takes entrepreneurs to their dreams
I am off an enormous high from a weekend of big achievements, even though to most they may be small. But this is my story and if it feels good, and makes me motivated to climb mountains, then that is all that counts.
We often get too caught up in other people's versions of who we should be. In full disclosure, I am on the other side of the fence as well, with expectations of others, that really I have no right to have. No person should live life by someone else's standards. What we all need to do is accept other's and let them live their own life journey their way, whether we agree with it or not - it really doesn't matter.
It's hard to let go and say to yourself that something that you don't think is in the best interest of a family member or friend, should be their decision and not yours - and while you can give your version of what you think or your experiences when asked, sometimes you just have to let go.
I found the word limitless through a psychotherapist. Yes, I am not afraid to see one, should I have a need to understand the 'why's' that I can't pinpoint an answer to. What I have achieved through those past sessions is understanding that life can be limitless if you want it to be.
I flew back into Australia on Wednesday, and with action packed work commitments, I have stopped. On Saturday, I decided to accept an invitation to the Hachem Charity Poker Match. I can't quite pinpoint why I made this decision, but it was a good one, because I have never played poker and the thrill of playing in a large crowd for a good cause was exhilarating. I can't quite explain how it felt. Better than that, after having no idea of how to play, I started winning and left my first table with the most money and ended up being the last woman standing.
I know that doesn't sound like much, but it was. It showed me that I can do anything. Sure, it could be luck, which it probably was, but it's also a commitment to putting myself out of my comfort zone.
You may say that playing in a charity poker match isn't that big of a deal, and sure, it isn't... but if you sit in my shoes, and were there on the night, you too may have walked away with the same feeling that I had.
The next day, I played golf. You wouldn't believe it, but after two bad hits, I just started clicking with my club and golf ball, and once again I had that feeling. I can't explain it but that high is so contagious that I can't help but want to feel that way more often.
In the evening, I went to dinner with a friend, and together we started another business arrangement which is kind of cool. He is a tech geek and I am a marketing and technology specialist. It's a marriage made in heaven. We already have the workings of a product that will change an entire industry. How exciting is that!
Put LIMITLESS ON YOUR AGENDA. Make it part of your mantra and believe that you can do anything, and with hard work, you will.
