I am a Tiger… No, I am a mouse!

Once again, you would have to be under a rock not to have heard the latest on Tiger Woods.
All I can say is … oh, dear.
Who really cares about a ‘public apology’ that is so carefully constructed and managed, that it feels fraudulent. This man isn’t speaking from the heart, he is speaking from a script.
With an audience almost as big as Bill Clinton’s public apology some years ago, I think everyone needs to take a look at themselves and think about how many great things they could be doing instead of watching or reading for that matter, about Tiger’s apology.
Having googled Tiger to find out about the announcement for this blog, it didn’t surprise me that 2.770,000,000 results come up for Tiger Woods Announcement and 3.050,000 results come up for Tiger Woods Apology Video. Every sponsor that has stayed with him, must be over the moon. Seriously, where else would you get this type of exposure from? Nike and Electronic Arts Sports must be thrilled.
It will be interesting to see how the public react to this apology. I for one, hope that he just gets back out there and plays a few more majors.
As I have previously stated in my blog, Tiger is going to be worth more money because of this then before and the more managed he is, the more likely that he won’t slip up but will the public buy it? The most important thing for brand Tiger to do is to connect with his followers. It will be interesting to see.
I, like millions of others, will be watching that first hit at his next tournament. Not for a second do I think that Tiger will retire. This is what he has trained to do his entire life – so why would he?
