The big picture is daunting, dangerous and daring - try it ** This blog is R-rated
If you have a small business, ask yourself the question as to whether it is scalable. If it is, then what is holding you back? Money? Resources? People? Fear?
If it is money, that's easily fixed. There is plenty of people out there willing and able to give money to a great idea, that is scalable with the right management team in place.
If it is resources, then money can fix that and looking outside the box doesn't hurt either. If you don't have the right people in place, then you can hire them with the right resources and financial backing.
Can you see a pattern here? It all ties into each other and there is no time like right now to make it happen. Goodbye 2015, and let's rock it in 2016.
But something is still holding you back! It is safer to just keep on going along as you have been year after year, dreaming of bigger and better things but slowly growing instead.
Perhaps you don't feel as though you need more than you have today, but someone else does. Imagine the jobs and security you can provide others by growing your business. Think about the dreams you can fulfil that may not be your own. Think about the kids that are starving that have nothing to look forward to, that you may be able to put a smile on their faces just by being more charitable because you can afford to be.
Business is a game. There is no such thing as true failure. Just lessons learned. Risk it all and take yourself and your business up a notch. Talk to your team. Get their buy-in and start delivering a superior product or service that outperforms the market.
The world is full of ordinary. Be extraordinary. Take what you have inside your head and put it on steriods. Make it your legacy. Change the way you think and the way others around you perceive their jobs and your company's role in this world.
This is not a dress rehearsal and 2016 has so much more promise than ever before. There is more innovation, money and importantly, technology that can drive better outcomes for everything.
Thinking bigger, and making your picture the size of your room, is daunting. It's dangerous and full of "what if's", but the more daring you are, the more reward you will receive.
Invest in people, marketing and performance. I know I am.
